Beryl > Emerald > 5.11 carat Untreated Emerald
This is a spectacular natural untreated Portuguese oval step cut emerald from Brazil. The emerald is the perfect medium bluish green hue that is usually only found in the Chivor mines of Columbia for $10,000.00 plus per carat. The measurements are 13.75 mm (0.54 inches) in length by 10.80 width (0.425 inches) by 5.98 mm (0.24 inches ) in depth.
There is has no evidence of clarity enhancement which is particularly rare in an emerald of this size. Most emeralds are filled with either oil or an epoxy type glue to hide the inclusions. Emerald treatments are not stable and either discolor or leach out.
